Description – 2026 West Virginia State and Federal Combo Poster

West Virginia’s wage floor has not moved in a decade: the minimum wage has sat at $8.75 per hour since January 1, 2016, with no indexing and no increase scheduled — and it does not even apply to every employer, since the state rate covers only workplaces with at least six non-exempt employees at one location. What does apply to every employer, regardless of size, is the posting set itself, including the Minimum Wage Requirements poster and the Wage Payment and Collection Act poster. This 2026 West Virginia combo carries the state’s minimum-wage, wage-payment, child-labor, and parental-leave notices together with the federal notices on one laminated poster.

Compliance Notes:

  • West Virginia’s minimum wage is $8.75 per hour, unchanged since January 1, 2016, and it applies to employers with at least six non-exempt employees working at any one separate, distinct, and permanent location; where the state test is not met, the federal $7.25 rate may apply instead. The state does not let local governments set higher minimum wages. Tipped employees may be paid a $2.62 cash wage, with cash plus tips required to total at least $8.75, and employers may pay a youth training wage of $6.40 per hour to employees younger than 20 for up to 90 cumulative days. • The West Virginia Division of Labor lists both the Minimum Wage Requirements poster and the Wage Payment and Collection Act poster as applying to all employers, whatever their size — the six-employee rule decides which minimum wage you pay, not what goes on the wall. Federal notices apply to every employer the relevant federal law covers, and West Virginia requires employment-law posters to be physically displayed at the worksite in a conspicuous location; electronic posting may supplement but does not replace physical posting. • West Virginia employers must pay employees at least twice a month (semi-monthly), with payment made within 72 hours of the end of the pay period, under WV Code § 21-5-1. The state’s poster set also includes the Workers’ Compensation notice (revised July 2026), the Unemployment Benefits notice, the Child Labor Requirements poster, the Parental Leave Act notice, and the West Virginia Human Rights Act notice.
